October 18, 2022: -On Monday, the central Shevchenkivskyi district of Ukraine’s capital was rocked by blasts for being twice a week, with Mayor Vitalii Klitschko saying several residential buildings stood damaged.
“Rescuers are on the site,” Klitschko said on the Telegram messaging service, adding that as a result of what he added was a drone attack, a fire also broke out in a non-residential building. There was no direct information on casualties.
Shevchenkivskiy district, a busy hub with universities, student bars, and eateries, was reached by several explosions in the previous week when Russia ordered an over-aerial offensive against Ukrainian cities in retaliation for a burst on a bridge that links mainland Russia to Crimea.
Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian president’s staff, added that the attacks were carried out with suicide drones.
“Russians are helping them, but such actions are just their convulsions,” Yermak added on the Telegram messaging app.
Ukraine has started a spate of Russian attacks with Iranian-made Shahid-136 drones recently.
Iran denies which provides the murmurs to Russia, while the Kremlin has not commented. Russia refuses targets, civilians, in what it calls its “special military operation” in Ukraine.
